7:30pm ET 6/23/2010: containment cap reattached, collecting oil.
9:45am ET 6/23/2010: containment cap, which was capturing approximately 15,000 Bpd, is damaged and removed.
6/15/2010: FRTG releases new report on flow-rate after "Top Hat" maneuver.
4:30pm ET 6/10/2010: FRTG releases new report on flow-rate prior to "Top Hat" maneuver.
9:30am ET 6/6/2010: Coastguard Adm Allen reports cap capturing about 10,000 barrrels of oil a day.
6:30pm ET 6/3/2010: Government officials say newest attempt to cap gusher may have increased flow.
7:30pm ET 5/29/2010: BP admits "Top Kill" efforts fail, begins preparing new effort.
7:00pm ET 5/28/2010: NYTimes reports BP and government officials acknowledge Top Kill effort "no closer to succeeding than when they started."
7:30pm ET 5/27/2010: gulfoilmageddon.com reduces estimated flow-rate to 18,500 Bpd.
7:00pm ET 5/27/2010: Counter resumed due to reports that "Top Kill" has not stopped flow of oil.
1:00pm ET 5/27/2010: Counter has been stopped as of 9pm ET 5/26/2010 based on reports (here and here) that the "Top Kill" procedure has (at least temporarily) halted the flow of oil. Continuing to monitor.
9:00pm ET 5/26/2010: BP is claiming that "mud" not oil, is the substance being leaked during "Top Kill."
7:10pm ET 5/26/2010: BP reports it will be 24 hours before success of "Top Kill" is known.
2:00pm ET 5/26/2010: BP begins "Top Kill" operation.
